ACC Applauds EPA’s Plan to Deliver Efficient and Effective TSCA Existing Chemical Reviews

WASHINGTON (March 11, 2025) – The American Chemistry Council (ACC) today commended the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) announcement the Agency will reconsider the 2024 Risk Evaluation Framework Rule, which governs EPA’s review of existing chemicals in commerce under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

ACC President & CEO Chris Jahn, released the following statement:

“America’s chemical manufacturers applaud EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin for his leadership and commitment to unleashing America’s innovative chemical sector and promoting domestic manufacturing. Today’s announcement outlines a path forward to improving timeliness and predictability in TSCA existing chemicals reviews. We are pleased the Trump administration recognizes the importance of basing regulatory decisions on the best available science. This approach will help protect American innovation, bring chemical production back to the U.S. and strengthen America’s competitiveness across the globe. We stand ready to work with the Administration and EPA to unleash American innovation and make the U.S. a manufacturing superpower.”
