Responsible Care® Overview

Launched in the U.S. in 1988, Responsible Care® is the global chemical industry’s leading safety and sustainability initiative, driving continual improvement and supporting innovative progress in manufacturing operations and our supply chain. At its core, Responsible Care means working every day to protect the health and safety of people and the planet. It means taking actions to help ensure the business of chemistry is safe – both inside the facility and throughout the supply chain. Don’t just take our word for it. Responsible Care requires companies to conduct third-party audits to confirm their successful implementation of its requirements
