WASHINGTON (September 23, 2021) – The American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Plastics Division today announced its newest regular member, OxyChem – a leading manufacturer of vinyl resins used for a wide range of indispensable lifesaving and life-enhancing products. OxyChem joins other leaders in the plastics industry to advance sustainability, innovation, and a lower carbon future across the sector.
“We’re excited about our growing membership, which reflects not only ACC’s role as a leading advocate for the plastics industry, but also our members’ dedication to helping solve some of society’s biggest challenges,” said Joshua Baca, vice president of ACC’s Plastics Division. “With the continued, strong support of our members, we look forward to driving advancement of responsible, science-based public policy that helps end plastic waste through circular and sustainable solutions.”
“Joining ACC’s Plastics Division supports our company’s important sustainability goals, including product circularity, recycling and waste reduction,” said Jeremy Burnell, OxyChem’s vice president of vinyls. “This engagement with the ACC’s Plastics Division also builds on OxyChem’s existing participation in Operation Clean Sweep Blue, the product stewardship program dedicated to helping achieve zero plastic resin loss into the environment.”
