ACC Joint Letter to Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation for implementation of section 2209 of the FAA Extension, Safety, and Security act of 2016

Section 2209 required the Secretary of Transportation to establish a process to allow operators or proprietors of fixed-site facilities such as oil refineries, chemical facilities, critical infrastructure, to petition the Administrator of the FAA to prohibit or restrict the operation of unmanned aircraft in close proximity to their facility.
