WASHINGTON (April 26, 2021) – The American Chemistry Council (ACC) today honored its member companies for implementing energy efficiency improvements in 2020. ACC presented Energy Efficiency Awards to 15 companies, and 6 of the companies received a designation of “Exceptional Merit.” ACC President and CEO Chris Jahn announced the winners at the virtual 2021 Responsible Care® & Sustainability Conference.
The Responsible Care Energy Efficiency Awards program is among several ACC initiatives to improve energy efficiency. When developing their environmental, health, safety and security plans, member companies are required to consider operational energy efficiency and waste minimization, reuse and recycling.
