To help protect the chemical sector and the chemistry needed for the everyday health and well-being of our nation, Congress directed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to establish the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program.
After delivering solid results for 15 years - Congress failed to act and allowed CFATS to expire. The American Chemistry Council (ACC) conducted a survey of member companies in January of 2024 to understand concerns related to the expiration of CFATS.
